NAFDAC Consumer Safety Club (NCSC) Secondary Schools' Competition 2012
NAFDAC Consumer Safety Club (NCSC) is a public enlightenment and sensitization platform of the NATIONAL AGENCY FOR FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION AND CONTROL (NAFDAC) in its eradication of fake/substandard regulated product campaign and enthronement of quality culture .NCSC is being promoted as a platform for effecting behavioural change through enlightenment among the populace at a particular age group where they are expected to imbibe the culture of quality and propagate this value to the general public at large.
NAFDAC Consumer Safety Club (NCSC) Secondary School's Competition for the Year 2012 is scheduled as follows:
Eligibility
This 2012 competition is open to all interested schools irrespective of affiliation with NAFDAC Consumer Safety Club programme.
The examination is limited to 2 participants per school (One JSS & One SSS) and a maximum of 50 schools per state on first come first served basis.
Note: A student who had emerged a zonal/national award winner in previous NCSC examination at either the JSS or SS category is not eligible to participate in the same category in this year's competition.
School coordinators are advised not to field candidates in JSS Ill and SSS Ill whose academic programme may conflict with the
NCSC examination schedule
Programme of Activities
Date: September 17th - 10th October 2012
Submission of names of selected candidates by interested schools to NAFDAC State offices Nationwide.
State Level Examination
Date: 13th October2O12
Nationwide conduct of state level examination for JSS & SSS
Categories: 11 :00am
National Level Examination and Award Ceremony
Date: To be announced later and communicated to schools of Zonal winners.
The Best student for the JSS & SSS categories from each geopolitical zone of the country to participate in Television Quiz Competition in Abuja to select national winners.
State Level Award Ceremony
Date: To be determined by the respective NAFDAC State Heads
Prizes
Prizes would be awarded to the State, Zonal and National Winners as well the Schools & Coordinators of Zonal winners. Prizes to be won include desktops, laptops, branded wristwatches and bags etc.
Additional Information:
School coordinators are to obtain information from NAFDAC State coordinators on venue for the State level examination.
School coordinators are to ensure that names of selected representatives attending the 2012 examination are forwarded to NAFDAC State office and NOT directly to the NCSC Coordinating office in Abuja.
