Igbinedion University,Okada has released details of application process for Supplementary Admission into First Degree Programmes for 2011/2012 Academic Session.
Admissions
Igbinedion University Okada (IUO) is Nigeria’s first private and secular private university. Founded in 1999 as a centre of excellence, its vision is to become a leading centre of knowledge and manpower production. Located in the serenity of Okada Wonderland and with a complement of world-class academics, support staff, research facilities, teaching hospital, entrepreneurial studies, ICT solutions including telemedicine and teleconferencing, human help services and resourceful students, IUO offers the right atmosphere for sound human development as well as innovative, productive and uninterrupted scholarship. IUO is a truly cosmopolitan university with staff and students from all the 36 states and the FCT of Nigeria and other parts of the world. The university is currently inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into first degree programmes in its seven Colleges

The University runs a collegiate system under which each college is designed to be ultimately autonomous. Each college houses schools and departments, which are chaired by Deans and Heads of Departments respectively. The affairs of the college are managed by the Provost/Dean, College Board, and various standing and ad hoc committees approved by Senate.
There are seven colleges, namely, Arts and Social Sciences, Business and Management Studies, Natural and Applied Sciences, as well as the General Abdulsalami Abubakar College of Engineering, the Oba Okunade Sijuade College of Health Sciences, the Professor Dora Akunyili College of Pharmacy, and the Oba Erediauwa College of Law. Five of these colleges – Arts and Social Sciences, Business and Management Studies, Health Sciences, Law and Natural and Applied Sciences – were foundation colleges and commenced in 1999/2000. The College of Engineering commenced its programmes in the 2002/2003 academic year, and Pharmacy in 2004. The College of Health Sciences has two schools, namely, Basic Medical Sciences and Clinical Medicine. There is also the School of Diplomacy and International Security Studies, which is housed in the College of Arts and Social Sciences.

a.To be eligible for admission into the four year disciplines and five or six year professional programmes, candidates must possess a minimum of five credits at the ordinary level include English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings. In addition, candidates seeking admission into Law must possess at least a credit pass in Literature in English
b. Candidates may also seek admission into the 200 level of the degree programmes with appropriate post-ordinary level qualifications:
JAMB Requirement: Candidates should have scored not less than 180 in the 2011/2012 UTME.
HOW TO PURCHASE AND PROCESS APPLICATION FORMS

Time: 10 am
Candidates who scored 180 and above in the UTME are welcome to attend the screening exercise. Applicants should bring completed application forms along with them to the screening centres.
